In the middle of January 2003 I got a mail from Albert Campos asking if I could take some pictures of him and his band. Albert had for a long time been looking for a photographer to make a batch of public relation pictures of his band. He saw my website and decided to contact me.
That's why I found myself in a small club in the heart of Copenhagen, that cold January night.

Albert Campos is the vocalist and musical director of the house band of NYSE (New Youk Soul Experience), which is an all american owned soul club and restaurent offering "soul food" - culinary delights from African America, Jamaica and Caribbean. Albert has recorden with many Danish artists such as Niels Lan Doky, Caroline Henderson, Hanne Boel, Ester Brohus, Peaches Lavon, Hotel Hunger and many more. He toured with Thomas Helmig in 1998 an most recently he recorded with Danish Melody Contest winner 2002, Malene Mortensen. He is also on the list of guest musicians at Lars HUG's 2003 album, and he toured for 2 years with Lars HUG on Kiss and Hug from a Happy Boy-Tour.

After her performance in Copenhagen on 15. November 2002, Alicia Keys held the afterparty for her crew at NYSE.

The music is kind of easy listening jazz with a touch of soul. Very well played by the four musicians, and especially the guitarist was a master at his instrument.
There was a really good "New York atmosphere" in the crowded club and Albert and his band perform each Thuesday, Friday and Saturday evening.
