In October 2005
I was contacted by Sophie Woods, who knew me from my Maya
Albana photographs (see other pages at this site). She asked me to take
some photos of her in MediaStudio, where she had four days to record
her first demo-cd. Unfortunately I was on a Seminar that week, so I had to turn
down the request.
Later on Sophie sent me the demo, and
as I really liked what I heard, I accepted to cover her debut concert at Cafékino.
Sophie turned out to be really a surprise to me. If I liked the demo, I loved her music
in live versions. She's a very present performer, very sincere and down-to-earth.
Furthermore she had some excellent musicians to back her, - especially the young
pianoplayer, Tobias Stærbo cought my attention.
