I'm not quite familiar
with Big Fat Snake's music, but got a chance to hear them performing
live for the firtst time, as I was present in Vega to make a live-on-stage series
of the great new talent on the Danish scene, 17-years old Maria Viskonti.
She supported BFS with a brief acoustic set with her brother,
Jacob Viskinde, on guitar. For me it was an unusual experience
to see that most of the audience was at my age, or even older. At concerts I use
to be around people younger than my own daughter (she's 30 y.o.). And it was very
obvious that they got what they came for. Singing along on all the lyrics and
supporting the band in any means. The charming Anders Blichfeldt
proved to be a really professional performer as he joked with the audience and
sang the BFS repertory. But I couldn't keep my eyes from guitar
player, Peter Viskinde. I loved his stone face, which seemed to
be cut in wood. Ok, maybe it's not fair, as I in fact saw him smile once or twice!
But for a photographer he has a dream of a face! He could easily be a stand-in,
in any Clint Easywood Western movie. We also got classical
rock songs, such as Suspecious Mind, My Way and CC
Rider, excellently performed by this band, which is called The Best Live
Rock Act in Denmark.
