Entakt
Café Nemoland, Christiania, Copenhagen
6. August 2005

In May 2005 I got a mail from Entakt lead-singer Jonas Villumsen, asking me to take some photos of his band, Entakt. As usual, when I get a request like this, I asked him to send a demo, as I didn't know what kind og music they played. So I got two demos containing very special, but excellent stuff.

I can like a song with very common lyrics, if it has a good melody or a nice mood, but I would never love a song though having fabulous lyrics, if the melody is ordenary.
I admit that normally I do not listen too carefully to the lyrics. But listening to Entakt's demos I had to make an exception: You can't ignore their absolute genious lyrics. It's modern poetry, which can easily stand alone if released in a book of poems!
The music is very special as well. Baal, Olesen & Olesen, Kenneth Thordal, Alrune Rod and another upcoming band, Mavis are Danish bands which Entakt may be compared with.
A very promising acquaintance.

After Entakt's performance at Christiania, I took a series of band photos which can be viewed at the bottom of this page.
