I had been looking foreward to this event for years: When Freya took up again her career as a solo artist.
Except for a few one-off performances during the years this was her first public concert for more than 9 years.
Freya was dressed in a nice gown in her favorite colour, turquoise, but due to lack of stage spotlight (needed for digital photos), I had to make a lot of PhotoShop work just to make the pictures visible! So please don't mind the colours.
Freya created a bridge to her former career by opening with her debut hit song, Yellow Ladybird from 1999. Acapella song merely with an electronic keyboard as a backing.
Next song, Papercut, could easily become her next hit song, when her new album may be released in Fall 2013.
Smug is a beautiful ballad, this night performed with Freya on the acoustic guitar. Together with Papercut this song was my favorite from the set list.
Let It Sting is a powerful hit song with the band on catchy choir vocals.
(Thanks to Freya for the set list)
