This was the opening concert on Julie's five gig Autumn Tour 2004. After seeing Julie at the Tivoli Concert in 2003, I had a lot of expectations to hearing her once more. And I can say that they were completely fullfilled! This beautyful girl performed with such a professionalism which made her seem much more experienced than her young age is entitled to.
Being the first concert on the tour, Julie seemed to be slightly nervous, shyly tittering between the songs, but somehow it just added to the great charm of this lovable artist.
Julie must be one of the most grounded and un-spoiled artists on the music scene. Very caring, charming and with a clear mind as pure as her divine voice.
A good way to judge an artists commitment to their fans is to see if they bother to offer 10 minutes to their fans after their stage performance. Too many times I've seen arrogant artists ignoring their fans, eagerly waiting backstage for hours with their autographbooks, flowers and cd-covers, facing the fact that the idol prefers to drink beers with the backong band.
Julie is not like that - she is always caring about the fans, realizing that they are the very base to her career. And this night made no exception (see the bottom at the page).

Julie gave 10 of the 12 songs from the new album, a couple of the songs from the debut album, and finlly we got an un-released song, Asasara. A very beautiful tune, sung with much passion by Julie for one of the most entusiastic audiences that I've seen. After the gig I had a brief conversation with Julie, who stated that she couldn't have wished for a better tour-start due to the nice audience at Portalen.

If the Albertslund-gig one week later hadn't been cancelled I would certainly have been there also! So I look foreward the the Spring 2005 Tour ...
