Kenneth Thordal
Amager Bio, Copenhagen
1. May 2005

Kenneth played his third job on the same day, 1. of May 2005, on this occation as a support artist before Rød Mor. The only thing I knew about Kenneth Thordal before attending this night's trible concert, was that Rune Westberg had done the mixing of three of his songs on his most recent album, Skåret Ud I Pap, released on 8. April 2005. And of course that he had got rarely seen good reviews in the press. Enough for me to buy his record, - I just hadn't had the opportunity for that yet.
I was supprised to hear Kenneth's lyrics, - a very interesting mix of the style practiced by other great Danish rock poets. The music is far from mainstream popmusic, you have to listen to it several times, to get into Kenneth's universe - a sign of deeper quality.
He gave a ten song set, nine of them from the new album, and one song (Blæs os omkuld) from a single release from April 2002.

I had a talk with Kenneth backstage after the concert and he gave me a copy of his album (see at the bottom of this page). I'm looking foreward to following the carrer of this unique artist.
