On the release
day of long time expected second album, This Is Not An Exit, best
Danish live band, Kira & The Kindred Spirits, gave a six song
performance at the record shop GUF in Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen.
It
took place on Monday 31. January 2005, on 5. P.M. in the entrance of the shop.
The
band played excellently as usual, and especially Kira seemed noticeably
happy and raidiated calmness and power at the same time, - more pretty than ever
before.
No doubt Kira and the boys are my absolute favorite band
to watch on the Danish Rock Scene today. I still wonder about the lack of nominations
for the various Danish Awards shows this year? Next year I'm sure that Kira
and KS will take all the prizes of the categories they are nominated in. The
release concert was announced as an acoustic concert, but luckely we got all the
pure and rough electrified power, which has become the trademark of this excellent
band.
