Kira and the Kindred Spirits
Club Gaffa Tour 2002
Pumpehuset, Copenhagen, 8. November 2002

    I'd love to please you
And I'm here to tease you ...

sings Kira Skov in Lethargic, the second song at the fabulous performance at Pumpehuset that rainy evening in November. And so she did! Lethargic was the last word you would use to describe the show, which was among the best I have attented in my life! It is no overstatement to say that this was a performance you'll remember the rest of your lifetime! I have never seen Janis Joplin live on stage (except for on recorded footage), but I believe that this is the closest you'll ever get to that same experience of desperate intensity from a great talented artist. The band brought me back to the late sixties. It was like attending a concert with Big Brother and The Holding Company, or sometimes even soul king, Otis Redding, with all the pure soul feeling, given with such a strength that it's obvious to name lead singer Kira Skov as the Danish Janis Joplin!!It was evident that Kira loved to expose herself on stage, and she radiated desperation and energy from the first second of the performance to the very end. And as to be seen on the pictures below, she had a strong sex appeal as well.
