As everyone visiting this site regularily may know, I consider Monique to be the greatest singer through all times in our country. This gifted artist never got the fame that her unique talend justify to. Monique might enjoy similar world fame as other great artists such as Anastacia, Tina Turner and Patti Labelle if she had just had the right managers and the right branding.
I've always been a mega-fan of Monique since the very first day I listened to her divine voice. I attended her debut concert and as a present to the release party for Monique's most recent album, Believer, I gave her a cd with an audience recording I made of this first performance in May 1992.

At the release party Monique appared beautiful and loveable as always and she gave a 6 song set from the new album of cover songs with the topic: believing. For me the highlights on the album are First Time, Any Way At All and the Cohen classic, Hallelujah, all in beautiful versions by Monique.
