This evening Randi
Laubek played her second concert at the Figures Of Eight Promotion
Tour 2005 and is was the third time I had the pleasure to make live photos
of her. I still hope to get an opportunity to make an exclusive portrait series
of this extremely talentet musician as I have suggested her. I was allowed to
make photographs during the five opening songs (many thanks to Søren
Gaden for the extended permission), but unfortunately the spotlights were
only put on after the six'th song! So most of the pictures are covered in red
light, for which I've tried to compensate for in the picture manipulation.
I
wouldn't hesitate to call her beautiful but very complex music for a kind of modern
classical music. Her most recent album is the most laid-back album she has
released, still without any compromise with her high musical standard. Randi
gave a variated show mixing both new and old songs. We also got the rocking side
of Randi to know and even a couple of medieval tunes sounding like
string quartet music.
Throughout the night Randi radiated
her charm and fragile beauty from the stage, telling her small intros to the songs.
