Swan Lee
Store Vega, Copenhagen
6. May 2004

Thanks to the booker, I got one more chance to take some photos of this splended band live at stage. But unfortunately I was only allowed to work during the five opening songs. Add to that that the stage light was the most peculiar I have ever experienced: Most of the time the scene was covered by red light (or no light at all) with only one single spotlight, which lighted up Pernille's face from below! No one (even not the extremely beautiful Pernille) benefit from being enlighted from below, unless they play the main caracter in a horror movie!

This meant that theconditions to make proper photos of this concert, was very bad. The light was so faint that the camera was unable to focus, so I had to do the focusing manually. Which means that most of the shots were out of focus.
So the result was not satisfying to me. That is the reason why I have allowed myself to play a little with the colours in PhotoShop, as can be viewed on some of the photos below.

The concert was as I expected: Out of this World! with a more tight playing band, compared to the opening concert, which I saw in Forbrændingen one and a half months earlier. The set list was exactly similar to the one from Albertslund, but Swan Lee never stuck in routine. Again I will stress what an improvement Maria Køhnke is for the band. Her additional vocal, supporting Pernille's, makes one wonder, if we shall ever see Maria as a solo artist? I believe she has something to offer.
Again (for me) I Don't Mind and the acoustic version of Stay Tonight was the highlight of the evening.
