If there
were an award for Best Danish Female Live Act at
DMA, Kira Skov would be sure to take it.
Never before I have seen a more devoted and vivacious performer
than Kira. She is second to none at stage. She's not
acting as the desperate performer you see on stage, - she
merely is the woman crying out her pain from the buttom of
her heart. What a distance from the products of the commercial concept
bands to Kira and The Kindred Spirits' soulfull, expressive
rock tunes! Until recently I believed that we merely had one female
singer in Denmark at this international level. Namely the great
Monique. Now I've learned that there are two! If Kira
not becomes an intertnationally reputable artist, there's no justice
anymore!
I saw
Kira & Co at the same stage in November
2002, and was astonished by their expression from this first
meeting with their music. This night they were even better and we
got a 14 song set of intense music. If you do not know Kira
& Co's music or if you only attend one single concert
a year, you should go to a Kira and The Kindred Spirits
concert, and you'll never regret it. Kira and her
band is the best thing which has happened at Danish Rock scene since
Savage Rose, Gasolin and Sort Sol -
without any comparising whatsoever! I'm
afraid that I've used all my superlatives on the November 2002 review,
so what more can I say? They are just out of this world!!!
(This
was a double concert with Kira and The Kindred Spirits
and Stripclub Junkies. Photos of Stripclub Junkies
can soon be seen on www.eric-photo.dk.
And some of the people I met after the concert can soon be viewed
at PEOPLE I MET. That is Tim Christensen, Kira, Margrethe
Bjørklund, Peter Helleman, Jens Helleman, Peter Kjøbsted,
Morten Woods, Rolf Hansen, Bjørn Fjæstad (Baal) and
Stine Larsen)

Most
of the set is from Kira and the Kindred Spirits' debut album,

song no. 1, 6, 9, 11 and 14 was still unreleased songs.
