This was the third time that I had the pleasure to see Pernille Vallentin at a live concert. First time at the release party for her debut album (see here), second time at her debut concert (see here).
She's already obtained much more stage expereace and confidence compared to her first stage appearence. In fact she seemed really confident on the scene and introduced the songs with some related comments. Pernille Vallentin sounds more and more like Pernille Rosendahl, but is still keeping her unique innocense in her way of singing.
Again Pernille and her band gave the complete set of songs from the album, but this night we got an additional song, obviously newly written. Anyway they hadn't yet decided a final titel of the song, but as the hookline said "Broken Butterflies" this could be a likely working title. Another title is suggested at the set list note (see below).
It turned out to be a rather short concert, and I still should like to hear some more unrecorded songs, new try-outs and a couple of covers. Even though it was an excellent show it would have improved by adding some more live material.
I can never be tired of taking photos of this beautiful female elf, so I did a few portrait shots in the crowded dressingroom after the concert (see the bottom of this page), and I still aim for a more organized portrait series of Pernille. I hope to convince her that it would be a good idea to make a photo session sometime this summer.
