Having listened to Tanja's four-song demo cd ever since I got it prior to the portrait photo session in April (see here), I've been looking foreward to hearing her playing them live.
Tanja did a double concert in Lades Kælder together with another exciting upcoming band, lisa vegas (see here). She and her backing band did an excellent job and the songs appeared as beautiful as on the demo. Being her first ever performance with her own material, she was a little shy at the beginning, but she has no reason for that at all, with those great songs on the set list.

Tanja Appehl is no doubt one of the great future talents at the Danish music scene! If I were a record producer, I would take Tanja under my wings imediately and spend all the money that I possible could to release her debut album! She would be my golden bird. If you like Randi Laubek's music, you'll love Tanja's.
In fact there are two upcoming stars in the Danish music business today complete unknown to a larger audience, whom I predict a great future on the music scene: One of them being Tanja Appehl, the other being Liv Thrane. They face an exciting position among our best songwriters in the years to come.
Those present at Tanja's debut concert will be proud later to tell that they were there when it all started.
