Sometimes you are
lucky to "discover" a new artist, of whom you didn't know anything,
when you go to a concert with more than the one band you came for. I came to hear
my favorite upcomer, Tanja Appehl, (photos can be viewed here)
and a shy young artist was scheduled to open the show of three performing bands.
(The third band was Tundra, see here).
Benjamin
Lylloff was his name and he immediadely spellbound the audience with his
James Taylor-vocal and his variated piano play. I admit not hearing
much of the lyrics, because I was completely taken by Benjamin's
passionate and sometimes almost spiritual music. He's gonna record his debut
album on 14. July 2006 at a public recording session at Krudttønden
in Copenhagen, backed by a string band. You should do yourself a favour to experience
this event. (See pictures from the album recording session here) You
can learn more about this artist by visiting his website here.
